Informations utiles
Løkken Strand beach is oriented northwest, making winds from S, SSW, SW, WSW, W, WNW, NW, NNW sideshore or side-on, perfect for stable riding.
The launch area is wide and sandy, with plenty of space north and south of the pier (jetty), but avoid the central area near the pier in summer due to tourists and swimmers.
For launching, the beach is easily accessible everywhere due to the fine sand, and the riding area extends for several kilometers along the coast.
With SW wind, the best waves are found north of the pier, well-formed and spaced up to 3m, with no notable current.
In W or NW wind, the water surface becomes choppier with chop between the waves, making riding more technical but still rideable on both sides of the pier.
Ideal conditions are with winds S to NNW, sideshore, medium to strong force for clean waves north of the pier.
The water surface is generally choppy with small to medium waves, with flatter conditions in light wind.
The waves are moderate, ideal for wave riding and jumps.
Currents can be strong in places, especially with offshore winds.
Pay particular attention to the north of the pier in SW where they are lesser, but always monitor the tides in the North Sea.
Opt for kite sizes of 7 to 11m² depending on wind strength, smaller in typical strong gusts of the region.
The wind is consistent due to the west exposure of the Jutland coast, often strong and steady, particularly in autumn and winter.
The dominant directions are W and NW, with sessions possible year-round depending on weather data.
The climate in North Denmark Region is oceanic, with mild summers around 15-20°C and cold winters around 0-5°C.
Rainfall is frequent throughout the year, but summer months offer more stability for sessions.
The depth is gradual with a sandy bottom, foot possible near the shore depending on the tides.
Water temperatures range from 5-8°C in winter to 15-18°C in summer in the North Sea.
