Location

Detailed information

The spot works well with winds coming from the west to northwest, typically side-on or side-shore relative to the north-facing beach. The directions W, WNW, NW, NNW are ideal according to locals and confirmed by spot stats, offering consistent power without too much risky offshore. The riding area is wide with shallow water for several hundred meters, perfect for freeride and slalom.

Launching is done directly from the sandy beach near the Lynæs Surfcenter, with easy takeoff on grass or dry sand. The water surface is generally chop with small waves, more agitated in strong winds but remaining safe due to the shallow area. Beware of sandy reef zones at the edge, to be avoided by beginners.

The spot is marked as the safest in Denmark by the center, with a large shallow area for quick progression. Prefer morning sessions for less chop when the wind rises to 15 kts.
