The spot works well with winds coming from E, S, and SW, which are side-shore or side-on relative to the south-facing beach. The water surface is flat and shallow at the edge, with a bit of chop when the wind strengthens. Launching is done directly from the sandy beach, wide and without major obstacles.
The navigation area extends several hundred meters offshore, with good space for takeoff and landing. No tidal influence, making the spot consistent all day. Watch out for gusts in SW (Lebeche), the most reliable and powerful wind.
The southern thermal winds start in the morning in spring and summer, and increase in strength by the afternoon. In winter, the Poniente from the north is strong but steep. Nearby hills accelerate the E and NE winds, sometimes creating turbulent areas.
Ideal conditions are with SW winds at 15-25 knots, consistent and side-shore. E or S thermal winds in the afternoon are perfect for long sessions.
The water surface is flat and shallow near the shore, ideal for jumps and freestyle. A light chop forms with sustained wind, without significant waves.
Currents are generally weak at this coastal spot. No notable tidal influence, conditions remain stable regardless of the tide.
Opt for 9 to 12 m² sizes in moderate winds, and 7 to 9 m² when the Lebeche strengthens. In light thermal, go up to 11-13 m².
The wind regime is dominated by the southern thermal breeze from spring to autumn, which starts gently in the morning and strengthens by the afternoon. The best is the SW Lebeche, consistent and strong.
The E and NE winds work well too, accelerated by the hills, but can be gusty. In winter, the Poniente north blows strong and turbulent.
The Mediterranean climate offers mild temperatures year-round, with hot summers around 25-30°C and mild winters around 15°C. The best months for kitesurfing are from January to December, thanks to consistent winds.
Spring and autumn are ideal for avoiding excessive heat, while winter brings stronger winds.
The depth is gradual with a sandy bottom. You can stand up to about 50-100 meters from the shore, perfect for relaunches.
In summer, the water reaches 22-25°C, a shorty is sufficient. In winter, it drops to 15-18°C, plan for a 4/3 combo.
