flatThe spot works well with winds from SW, WSW, W, WNW, NW, NNW, coming in side-shore or side-on from the open sea, creating a water surface protected by the fjord. The directions N, NNE, NE also work according to locals, bringing a more onshore wind but manageable due to the natural shelter. Launching is done directly on the wide sandy beach, with no rocks or troublesome grass, and take-off is easy with space to assist.
The riding area is shallow and wide, extending several hundred meters into the fjord with no immediate danger. No tidal influence, the spot rides the same always. In strong winds, be cautious of gusts, but the water remains flat to chop even with 15-20 kts. The best runs are out towards the open water or along the south shore to avoid the area near the port.
Local peculiarity: the fjord is shallow, perfect for maneuvers, but in extreme offshore (rare), you can drift to the other shore without much risk.
