Agger Strand
Denmark · North Denmark Region
Agger Strand, on the northwest coast of Denmark, is a long sandy beach lined with dunes and exposed to the North Sea. It is a popular spot among locals for its windy conditions and generous space.
Near the Thyborøn canal, the spot offers a mix of waves and flat areas, ideal for dynamic sessions. The atmosphere is calm, with few people during the week.
Easy access via road 181, with several parking areas near the dunes or on the dyke.
Historical averages by month — not a live forecast.
The spot works well with winds from SW, WSW, NW, which are side-shore or side-on relative to the northwest-oriented beach. South winds (S, SSE) generate the best waves, while west winds (W, NW) create chop and a strong shorebreak.
Launching from the long sandy beach, but be careful of the breakwaters every 100m that divide the area into sections. The riding area extends along the beach and towards the canal, with shallow waters (knee-deep) near the dyke west of Lake Agger.
No tidal influence on kite conditions. Launching on grass near the lake or sand at the beach, with several access points. In strong NW, extra lift near the dyke for fun jumps.
