L’Épine

Bosse beach offers a sheltered water surface by the island, ideal for learning kitesurfing with easy access to the water without obstacles or shallow areas. The prevailing wind comes from the NW to W, blowing side-on relative to the south-facing beach, allowing stable navigation for beginners. The navigation area extends in front of the beach, with take-off possible on dry sand at low tide; favor the 2 hours before and after low tide for more space and a sandy bottom where you can stand for a long time. At high tide, the water surface gains depth but remains accessible, although it can be choppy in strong winds. Be cautious of mooring areas near the port and oyster parks nearby, as on neighboring spots; stay clear of the Fromentine port channel not far away. Lessons are often conducted in shallow water (about 1 m) with a safety boat for beginners.
