The spot works well in side-shore or on-shore winds from the north and northeast, with easy launching on hard sand. The navigation area extends for kilometers in the lagoon, with walkable areas everywhere and water up to 1.5m max, even at low tide where you may need to walk 400m to ride. Beginners stay close to the school beach, while intermediates and advanced riders explore the 4km wide by 10km long area. Launching is from the private beach of the center, which is always spacious. Be cautious of fishing areas near the edges, but the water remains navigable in any wind due to its stability.
Ideal conditions are in N, NE, NNE, E, NW, WNW, stable side-shore between 15 and 20 kts, for a flat water surface and smooth progression.
The water surface is generally ultra flat, smooth, and stable, ideal for freestyle or learning. There are few waves even in strong winds, thanks to the lagoon's protection.
Currents are weak in the closed lagoon, with no major channel to report. Tides have little impact, but at low water, the water recedes without creating rip currents.
Opt for sizes of 9 to 11m² in medium wind, 7 to 9m² in stronger winds, suitable for moderate wind and flat conditions.
