Saint-Brevin-les-Pins

The Rochelets spot offers a large secured area designated for kitesurfing, usable year-round but limited to this beach during the high season from May 15 to September 15. The ideal wind orientation is west, perfect side-shore for the exposed west beach, with possible winds from SSE to NO that remain effective side-on or side-off. Launching is done directly on the fine, wide, and easy sand, with take-off at the water's edge without major obstacles.

The water state varies with the tides: at high tide, the space is generous with a moderate beach-break; at low tide, be cautious of the exposed rocky slab. Navigation areas are marked during the season to avoid bathers, with enough space for freeride, freestyle, foil, and even wave from SSE to SO. The breeze is consistent due to the oceanic position, and the gradual bottom allows riding up to several hundred meters from the shore.

Local feature: outside of summer, the entire coastline of Saint-Brevin is open, but Rochelets remains the heart of the spot with its schools and organization. Prefer the southern edge for launching in the dominant west wind.
