Conditions de navigation

Belmont Shore benefits from a regular thermal wind coming from the southwest, arriving in a side-on to side-shore direction relative to the south-southwest facing beach. The water surface is flat and smooth, ideal for beginners and progressing riders.

The launch area is on a wide sandy beach with plenty of space for takeoff and landing. Conditions do not depend on tides, making the spot accessible at any time of the day. The thermal wind typically develops in the afternoon, offering predictable and controlled sessions.

It should be noted that the wind rarely exceeds 20 knots, which maintains stable and safe conditions. The area is well-suited for kitesurfing schools that operate daily with reliable conditions.

Vent ideal
SWdominant

Ideal conditions are between 10 and 20 knots, with wind coming from the southwest. For introductory lessons, 6 knots minimum is sufficient, while beginners need at least 10 knots. Intermediate and advanced riders prefer 12 knots minimum to fully exploit the spot.

The afternoon thermal wind offers the best conditions, particularly from early April to early November.

État de la mer

The water surface is flat and smooth, with a slight chop depending on conditions. This is one of the main features that makes it an excellent learning spot. The protected waters and sandy bottom help maintain stable and predictable conditions.

Taille de kite recommandée

The recommended kite sizes vary according to seasonal conditions. In high season with a steady wind of 15-20 knots, kites of 9 to 11 meters are appropriate. For weaker periods, kites of 12 to 14 meters may be necessary to maintain power.
