The ideal wind comes from SW, providing a perfect side-on for the north-south oriented beach. Usual winds blow from N, SW, NW, NNW, with a thermal during the day especially in summer. The riding area is wide due to the vast beach, but you must stay vigilant on the water.
The launch is on clean sand over a large area, easy to access. Takeoff is simple at the beach's edge, but be cautious of other users. The water surface features small to medium waves, choppy with onshore wind, cleaner with NE offshore. Conditions do not depend on tides, you can ride at any time.
In winter, NW swells bring more waves, up to chest-head high (1-1.5m), while in summer it is flatter to choppy. The best months are April to September for consistent wind. Prefer mornings for light wind and clean water.
Ideal conditions are with SW side-on wind at 12-20 kts. NE offshore for clean water. Early morning for fewer crowds and light wind.
The water surface is generally choppy with small to medium waves, more turbulent with WSW swells. Clean with NE offshore wind. Waves of 1-1.5m in winter, smaller in summer.
Currents are moderate with possible rips near the pier. Tides do not impact kitesurfing, but be cautious of swimmers and occasional pollution. High and low tide function the same.
Opt for sizes of 9 to 11m² in medium thermal wind. 7-9m² for stronger days, 11-13m² when it's light.
The wind regime is dominated by a thermal during the day, especially from SW to NW. Speeds range from 10-20 kts, stronger in the afternoon. Reliable 80% of the days with over 15 mph most of the year, particularly from mid-February to mid-October.
The climate is mild Mediterranean, with pleasant temperatures year-round. The air reaches 20-25°C in summer and 15-20°C in winter. Days are often sunny, ideal for riding.
The depth increases gradually over a sandy bottom. You can stand near the shore, then it quickly gets deep for freestyle and waves.
The water is 16-18°C in winter, rising to 20-22°C in summer. A 3/2mm suit is suitable year-round.
