Hull

Nantasket Beach, located on the Atlantic coast of Hull, Massachusetts, offers a natural setting between the dunes and the vastness of the ocean. It is a spot popular with locals for its steady wind and relaxed atmosphere, especially in summer when the beach becomes a lively place. The beach break is consistent, with multiple peaks working at any time of the year.

The spot is exposed to Northwest, Southwest, and West winds, making it a reliable destination for riders seeking stable conditions. Although the beach is crowded with bathers in summer, the navigation areas remain accessible, particularly due to its long stretch of sand. Access is easy, with a large parking lot, although it can be crowded during the season.

Location

Detailed information

The ideal wind for this spot is mainly Northwest (NW), which generates a side-shore wind relative to the beach orientation. West (W) and Southwest (SW) winds are also favorable, offering side-on or onshore conditions depending on the rider's exact position. The water is generally chop with small to medium waves, and can become flat in shallow sandy areas, especially during low tides.

Tides do not directly affect kitesurfing conditions, but sandbars and flat and shallow areas appear during low tides, which can limit navigation areas. Launching is done directly on the beach, with easy access from the parking lot. Launching zones are located outside swimming areas, especially in summer when the beach is very crowded. A local peculiarity is the presence of pollution and rip currents, to be monitored closely.
