Belgodère
The Lozari beach in Belgodère, Balagne, is a vast stretch of sand that marks the entrance to the territory. Located about ten minutes from Île Rousse, it extends for approximately 1.5 km with a northern part lined with holiday villages and a wilder southern part.
It is one of the best kitesurfing spots in Corsica thanks to its large sandy beach and open water. The atmosphere is cool and family-friendly, with few practitioners outside the summer season when kiting is prohibited.
A nautical base offers paddle, kayak, and windsurfing in season, and beach bars animate the southern half.

Location
Detailed information
The spot mainly works with west wind, which comes side-on or side-shore from the northwest-oriented beach. The water is open to this wind, with some easy waves forming, ideal for freestyle or beginner wave riding. Launching is done directly from the large sandy beach, with no obstacles, and the take-off area is wide except in peak summer with bathers.
The navigation area extends in front of the beach for several hundred meters, with space to turn without hindrance. Caution in summer: kitesurfing is prohibited to make room for families. Tides are weak in the Mediterranean (about 0.4 to 0.7 m), so the water remains constant, a bit more choppy at low tide if the wind is strong. The wind is stronger here than at the neighboring Algajola, but the waves are less powerful.
Free parking in the center and south, easy access via the national road. Prefer the central or southern part for more space and fewer people.
