Barcaggio

The beach of Barcaggio, located at the northern tip of Cap Corse, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Haute-Corse. Characterized by its fine white sand and crystal clear waters, it offers an exceptional natural setting surrounded by dunes and Mediterranean maquis. It is a spot favored by kitesurfers for its open water and regular conditions.

Barcaggio stands out for its easy accessibility by car and its authentic atmosphere, away from crowded spots. The beach is long and spacious, providing excellent take-off and navigation space. The shallow waters for several hundred meters make it an ideal place for progression, while experienced riders enjoy the more dynamic conditions offshore.

Detailed information

The dominant wind at Barcaggio comes from the west, creating side-shore to side-on conditions very favorable for kitesurfing. The water surface is generally flat to slightly choppy depending on conditions, with small, easy-to-manage waves. The launch area is spacious and clear, without major obstacles. The wind is regular and consistent, particularly in summer, making the spot accessible year-round. Conditions are generally more stable in the late morning and early afternoon. It is recommended to navigate in the central area of the bay, avoiding rocky areas to the north and remaining attentive to wind variations according to coastal relief.
