Informations utiles
The spot works with side-onshore to offshore winds depending on the direction, ideally from NE, ENE, E sweeping the 2 km long bay from the land, making the water surprisingly smooth despite the offshore. Launching is done directly on the soft sandy beach without rocks or shells, with plenty of space to take off and land the kite. The riding area is wide and upwind towards the end of the beach, with shallow water a good distance from the shore.
The water surface is generally flat to light chop, with occasional small waves, perfect for freeride or freestyle. The wind typically picks up from noon, going from 12 knots in the morning to 20-25 knots in the afternoon, stable due to the flat terrain. Be cautious at the end of the season (August-September) where tropical depressions can interrupt the wind.
Wind directions cover the entire spectrum according to local information, but the best sessions are with E to ENE for an optimal angle relative to the east-west oriented beach.
Ideal conditions are with winds from NE, ENE, E at 20-25 knots, side-onshore to offshore for a smooth and stable water surface. Possible year-round, but optimal from February to June.
