Informations utiles
The spot works well with winds from the north sector: N, NNE, NE, NW, NNW, which come side-on or side-shore relative to the south-facing beach. Launching is done directly from the sand, wide and without major obstacles. The navigation area extends several hundred meters offshore, with a good grassy or sandy launch area depending on the tides.
In wave, the waves are moderate thanks to the shallow Baltic Sea, perfect for strapless or wave riding. Be cautious in areas close to shore where the water can become chop in strong winds. The best runs are made drifting along the beach to the east.
No lagoon, it is a pure oceanic spot with a sandy bottom. Tides are weak in the Baltic, so the water remains consistent: wave side-shore dominant.
Ideal conditions with winds N, NNE, NE, NW, NNW at 15-25 kts, side-shore for rideable waves without too much chop. A current score of 76/100 indicates a good day.
Water conditions are in moderate wave, with waves of 0.5 to 1.5 m in strong winds. The sandy bottom makes for clean conditions, with no reefs. Chop is present in prolonged sessions.
Currents are weak in the Baltic Sea, thanks to negligible tides (amplitude less than 20 cm). No major channel reported, but caution is advised in offshore winds to avoid drifting out to sea.
Opt for sizes 9 to 12 m² in typical conditions of 15-25 kts. 7-9 m² for strong days, 11-13 m² in light winds.
Dominant winds come from the NW and N, often between 15-30 kts in gusts. No specific local name, but it is coastal thermal reinforced by Scandinavian depressions. Forecasts regularly show NNW at 17-50 km/h.
The climate in Skåne is temperate oceanic, with cold winters and mild summers. Temperatures range from 0°C to 5°C in winter to 15°C-20°C in summer. A full wetsuit is recommended year-round, especially with the cool northern winds.
The best months for kite are year-round according to high scores, but autumn and spring offer more consistency.
Progressive depth with pure sandy bottom. You can stand up to 50-100 m from the shore, ideal for restarts.
Water temperature around 2-6°C in winter, 15-18°C in summer. A 5/4 mm wetsuit is mandatory from November to April.
