Touros

Touros is a small coastal village located about twenty kilometers east of São Miguel do Gostoso, at the northernmost tip of Brazil. Less touristy, more local, Touros attracts those seeking calm, consistent wind, and endless sea. The Praia de Touros stretches for several kilometers: a wide, clean, sandy beach lined with coconut trees and a few discreet pousadas. It is a natural freeride spot, bathed in light and driven by the same trade winds as Gostoso, but often less crowded. The wind comes in slightly differently here: a bit more side-shore, a bit softer in the morning, perfect for long relaxing sessions or downwinds to nearby beaches like Carnaubinha or Perobas. Touros embodies the essence of the Nordeste without artifice: a turquoise sea, a faithful wind, and a peaceful atmosphere where every session feels like a simple and genuine moment.

Location

Detailed information

The Praia de Touros is a open sea spot, vast and consistent. The east to northeast wind, side-on, blows between 18 and 26 knots, constant and clean. The water is softly choppy, with small spaced waves at high tide, perfect for freeride and light surfkite. At low tide, the sea retreats several dozen meters, creating flatter areas close to the shore. The sandy bottom and the width of the beach make launching and landing easy, even for beginners. It’s a versatile spot, perfect for practicing long sailing, control in chop, and transitions. The wind blows all day, rarely below 18 knots, and the water remains navigable regardless of the tide.
