Le Lavandou
The beach of Lavandou, located in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, is a beautiful stretch of sand at the foot of the Maures massif. It is a popular spot for kitesurfing thanks to its turquoise water and regular thermal wind.
Kiting is done on the sidewalk of the seafront boulevard, with a direct launch from the downtown beach. Locals mainly practice on east wind days, in a friendly atmosphere.
Close to spots like Cavalière or Saint-Clair, it is an accessible place for riders looking for varied sessions all year round.

Detailed information
The spot mainly works with east wind, which is onshore relative to the west-facing beach. From force 6, it becomes a real wave spot with a destructive shore break, ideal for advanced riders who enjoy challenging conditions.
Launching is a bit difficult due to the steep beach, especially in case of waves. You take off from the boulevard, being careful not to disturb walkers, and navigate wide to avoid the 300-meter restricted area in season.
The water state is chop in light thermal wind, but turns into small wave with strong east wind. Tides have little impact with low coefficients around 0.5m, all hours work well. Navigation zone offshore in the bay, respecting channels and swimming areas.
