Seaside Park

Bayside in Seaside Park, on the New Jersey coast, is a kitesurfing spot exposed to the Atlantic waves, appreciated for its steady wind and relaxed local atmosphere. This area, located just south of Seaside Heights, offers a natural setting between the dunes and the town's houses, ideal for riders looking for an unpretentious session.

The spot is especially known for its side-shore wind coming from the northwest to west, allowing navigation along the beach with moderate waves. Locals come here for the quality of the wind in April, the most reliable month of the year, but the spot can also work in summer when thermal breezes strengthen.

Detailed information

Bayside is an exposed beach break with consistent waves year-round. The ideal wind comes from the NW to W, creating a perfect side-shore orientation for kitesurfing. The launch is directly on the beach, near 21st Avenue, with a clear and safe take-off area. The water surface is mainly choppy with some waves, especially when the tide is high. At low tide, the water becomes more flat near the shore, but remains navigable.
