Historical averages by month — not a live forecast.
Plantation Beach is oriented towards the northwest, making it perfect for the side-on or side-shore winds dominant in the season. The water is generally chop with small waves in onshore conditions, but smoother in light side-off. The launch area is directly from the fine sand, with no major obstacles, and the take-off zone is wide on the beach bordering the golf course.
The navigation area extends about 1 to 2 km offshore, with enough space for jibes and freestyle, but stay vigilant on the resort's limits. Depending on the tides, the water rises to cover part of the beach, making take-off more technical at high tide. The best winds come from the northwest to west, perfect side-shore for this Caribbean spot.
Local feature: proximity to Cotton Bay Village which sometimes offers equipment rentals through their beach club, and an adjacent golf course to combine kite and leisure. Avoid peak hours at the kids club for free space.
