The navigation area extends over Lake Bourget, a vast natural water body without tides, with an open space in front of the campsite away from fishing or motor navigation zones.
The prevailing wind often comes from the southwest in the afternoon, creating a moderate but rideable chop. Be cautious of boats leaving the adjacent private harbor; it is better to navigate while keeping a safe distance. For beginners, stay close to the beach where you can stand for a long time, while advanced riders can freeride further towards the center of the lake.
No tide to manage, but minor water level variations due to river inputs do not impact navigation. The best times are summer afternoons with thermal from the lake, and the spot is accessible from April to September when the campsite is open.
