Hurghada

Bali Beach, located in Hurghada on the Red Sea in Egypt, is a popular spot for kiteboarders due to its easy access and shallow water. It has a relaxed atmosphere with nearby hotels and a fine sandy beach that stretches for several hundred meters.

This area is perfect for progressing in kitesurfing, with a sheltered lagoon that protects from waves and allows for long sessions. Local riders and schools in the area make it a lively place year-round.

Close to the city, Bali Beach offers a good compromise between convenience and sailing conditions, ideal for combining sport and relaxation by the sea.

Location

Detailed information

The wind at Bali Beach generally blows side-onshore from the left in the morning, becoming more cross-onshore in the afternoon due to the local thermal. The beach faces east, which favors winds from the northwest to west for optimal sessions without obstacles.

Launching is done directly from the sandy beach, with a wide and clear take-off area. The shallow lagoon extends 150 to 300 meters, perfect for waterstarts and freestyle maneuvers, while advanced riders can head out to the choppy area offshore.

Sandbanks create sheltered turquoise areas, accessible by foot or boat for beginners. In strong winds, small waves of 1 meter form offshore, but the water surface remains mostly flat to chop in the lagoon. Be cautious of separated zones to avoid collisions between skill levels.
