Delete your account

You have the right to delete your Kiteloopers account and your personal data at any time, in accordance with Articles 17 and 21 of the GDPR ("right to erasure").

1. How to delete your account

Option A — In-app (recommended)

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account
  3. Confirm by entering your password
  4. Your account is immediately deactivated and a complete deletion is scheduled within 30 days

Option B — By email

If you cannot access your account (lost password, deactivated email, etc.), send an email to olivier.schmitt.pro@gmail.com with:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • A copy of an ID document (we will not retain it after verification)
  • Subject: "Request to delete my Kiteloopers account"

We respond within a maximum of 30 days.

2. What gets deleted

  • Your profile (username, photos, biography, preferences)
  • Your private messages (also for your conversation partners' side — but their reply may remain visible without your name)
  • Your reviews, classified ads and User Content (or anonymized when deletion would harm other Users)
  • Your saved spots, friends, matches
  • Your usage logs after 30 days

3. What is retained (legal obligation)

  • Payment records (invoices, transactions): retained 10 years as required by French accounting law
  • Aggregated, anonymized analytics: no longer linked to your identity
  • Logs needed for legal disputes: retained until resolution

These data no longer allow you to be identified directly.

4. Active subscriptions

If you have an active Kiteloopers PLUS subscription:

  • Your subscription is canceled immediately
  • You retain access until the end of the current paid period (no refund for the in-progress period — see Terms of Service §7)
  • After expiration, the account is deleted as described above

5. Re-creating an account later

You may create a new account at any time after deletion, but:

  • Previous content cannot be restored
  • A new email address may be required if the old one is in our deletion logs (we keep them for 30 days to prevent automated abuse)
