The Nartelle beach is oriented facing southwest, in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, which makes it sheltered from strong winds. The dominant wind comes from the northwest, ideal in side-on or side-shore from the right side of the beach, perfect for stable navigation without risking drifting away. The navigation area is well marked, with easy launching on the fine sand and a clear take-off zone on the wide beach.
The water surface generally remains chop to flat depending on the wind strength, with little impact from tides in the Mediterranean. You can ride in freeride or freestyle in the dedicated area, while ensuring to stay within the markers to avoid bathers and other activities. Sessions are enjoyable even in winter, when the wind is more consistent, but summer requires vigilance with increased attendance.
