Primel-Trégastel
The beach of Primel-Trégastel, located in the municipality of Plougasnou in Brittany, is a long stretch of sand 600 meters long bordered by rocks. It is a popular tourist spot for families in the summer, with supervised swimming in season and free parking nearby.
It also attracts kitesurfers for its favorable orientation to west winds, but the space is limited and often reserved for the Trégastel sailing center. Flags are raised when the area is closed to independent riders.
The setting is typical of the Pink Granite Coast, with a lively atmosphere in high season and calmer outside of summer.

Informazioni dettagliate
The spot mainly works with west to west-southwest winds, coming in side-on from the sea, perfect for freeride. At low tide, a nice sandy area opens up for launching and takeoff, with about 600 meters of usable beach, but it quickly narrows at high tide where there is almost no sand left beyond a coefficient of 80.
The navigation area is quite restricted due to the rocks on the sides and a large granite block in the middle of the spot, clearly visible at low tide. The water surface is generally chop with small waves, more agitated by the current and sometimes irregular wind near the coast. Prefer the beach edge for launching and landing, avoiding the central part occupied by the sailing center.
Easy access via the Meloine promenade, parking at the edge. Showers available at the lifeguard station. Always check the schedule of the Tregorkite sailing center, as navigation is prohibited when they are using the area.
