Informazioni dettagliate
Bon Abri beach mainly works with west to northwest winds; these orientations provide a wind generally side-on to side-shore depending on the exact location on the beach. Launching is done from the wide sandbank at low tide; at high tide, the navigable area is reduced and launching is done closer to the dunes. The water surface varies greatly with the tide: at low tide, there are wide flat areas and exposed mudflats, at high tide the depth increases and waves may be present depending on the swell. There are navigation areas to avoid around mussel parks and mobile sandbanks; respect the shellfish farming zones indicated locally. Take-off and landing should be done in clear areas respecting the nature reserve and walkers; prefer wide sandy areas far from protected dunes to set down the kite. In sustained west winds, the beach may be frequented by several activities (kite, wing, surf), so stay vigilant of other users and towed devices.
