The spot works well with a side-on west wind relative to the northwest-oriented beach, providing good power for foiling or twintip. At high tide, the water is shallow and flat over a good area, perfect for launching directly from the beach and riding without going too far out. Launching takes place at the edge of the wide sandy beach, with a spacious launch area free of obstacles.
At low tide, the flat bottoms are exposed a lot, making navigation technical but possible for experienced riders who know the sandbanks. The riding area extends into the baie des Veys, wide and sheltered from strong east winds, but be cautious of depth variations.
