Figari

The spot mainly works with west winds (reinforced thermal, Libecciu or Mistral), which quickly makes the water surface choppy or even rough in strong winds, with side-on to side-off orientation depending on the strength. With east winds, it is 100% offshore with a flat water surface ideal for jibes and tricks. The launch is directly from the sandy beach, with a wide take-off area but be cautious of gusts just in front of the spot; you need to move a bit offshore for more consistent and homogeneous wind.

The navigation area is vast when leaving the gulf, perfect for cruising and freeride, with a superb view towards Figari bay. Tides have little impact as it is a quickly deep area, allowing for free water navigation without obstacles downwind once you are out. In summer, strictly respect the swimming area near the shore and the windsurfing zones, as the spot is shared. The thermal often picks up from early afternoon, ideal for long sessions.

Access is via a track to the last parking area on the right after Figari port, then a path with a wooden barrier; unload your gear at the parking before parking further away as there are holes on the track.
