Galinhos
Galinhos is a small isolated village situated on a sandy peninsula, between the Atlantic Ocean and a vast lagoon arm. Accessible only by boat or 4x4 via the beach, this corner of the world feels timeless. No paved roads, no crowds, just the wind, the dunes, the sails, and the sound of the waves. It is one of the most authentic and magical spots in the Nordeste: a huge lagoon, an open sea just steps away, a constant wind, and a postcard-like setting dominated by white dunes and pink salt flats. The Galinhos Lagoon, south of the village, is a dream navigation area: flat, warm, safe, and swept by a constant side-on wind. It is a perfect place for riders who love tranquility, raw nature, and long sessions without encountering anyone.

Informazioni dettagliate
The Galinhos Lagoon spot is a huge inland water area, fed by the tides and the channels of the Rio Galinhos. At high tide, the lagoon becomes a ultra-flat water mirror, perfect for freestyle, progression, and photo sessions. At medium tide, the surface remains smooth with some light chop in the center. At low tide, some areas become exposed, but there is always navigable water in the main channel. The east to northeast wind, side-onshore, blows between 18 and 26 knots, warm and steady, without gusts. The sandy bottom and shallow depth (often less than 1.5 m) ensure total safety. The wide water area, bordered by dunes, offers free and fluid navigation, ideal for downloops, transitions, and powerful jumps. And for those who enjoy diversity, the ocean beach just 5 minutes from the village allows for riding in the gentle waves of the open sea — two spots in one.
