Plage de Goas Treiz
France · Bretagne
The beach of Goas Treiz, located in Trébeurden on the Pink Granite Coast in Brittany, is a popular spot for windsurfers and kitesurfers due to its northwest orientation and wild atmosphere.
Slightly away from the city center, it offers an authentic setting with its coarse sand and proximity to the coastal road. Locals come here for freeride sessions in a natural environment.
It is a busy place, especially on weekends, with a wide beach that changes according to the tides.

The beach of Goas Treiz is oriented northwest to southwest, making it the best spot in the region to catch the stable southwest side-shore wind. The wind often comes side-on from the NW or SW, ideal for freeride, while an onshore from the north can create chop.
The water surface heavily depends on the tides: navigable three hours before and after high tide, with a minimum of 5m of water for kiting and 5m50 for winging. At low tide, the beach dries completely and navigation becomes impossible. The navigation area is wide in front of the beach, with easy access on the sand, but be cautious of the proximity to the road for launching.
The small shells on the sand make launching technical, especially alone. High attendance on weekends and holidays, shared with windsurfers. Prefer morning sessions for calmer conditions.
