The spot works in side-shore to side-on with winds from N, NW, WNW, W, and SW, which aligns well with the orientation of the reef facing the swell and the lagoon's organization. The water surface is characterized as wave on the outer edge, with a smoother area in the lagoon to prepare for takeoff, followed by a real wave section on the reef.
At low tide, the spot becomes more technical as the reef comes closer to the surface and the wave breaks more sharply. At mid-tide and high tide, launching is generally more comfortable, and the wave is cleaner, with a less demanding take-off. Navigation mainly occurs along the reef's edge, with a dedicated surf zone outside and an easier return through the lagoon's interior.
Launching and landing are done from the resort area, with a fairly direct entry for riders already comfortable. It is important to stay aware of the available space, as the spot is known for a management of rider numbers and close cohabitation among different reef users. The bottom mixes sand and rocky/coral areas, so it is better to avoid too low supports and maintain margin in maneuvers.
