The prevailing wind at Valras-Plage generally comes from the west to northwest, creating side-shore to side-on conditions depending on the periods. In the middle of the day, the wind usually blows from the southeast with a moderate strength (force 3), then shifts to the south-southwest in the late afternoon with intensification (force 4), with gusts reaching 16 knots.
Launching is done directly from the sandy beach. The navigation area extends over a generally calm water body, with small and short swell coming from the southeast. The spot offers a good take-off and navigation area without major obstacles, ideal for progressing or practicing safely.
