Localização
Informações detalhadas
The beach of La Bouverie is oriented west facing the ocean, which favors side-on or onshore winds from the NW or W for stable navigation. The launch and water access area is at the center of the beach near the boardwalk, with a wide expanse at low tide ideal for beginners in kiting.
The water surface varies with the tides: flat to chop in calm high seas, but more agitated in low seas with short waves suitable for bodyboarding. Be careful, kiting is prohibited from June 1 to September 30 on this beach for safety and crowd reasons, prefer nearby spots like Galon d’Or.
Navigation is limited to an offshore area to avoid rip currents and monitored swimming areas in summer. The summer thermal winds are side-shore from Pointe Espagnole, but the best sessions are off-season with moderate swells.
