Excenevex
The beach of Excenevex, located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Haute-Savoie, is the only natural white sand beach of the lake. Nestled in a spectacular alpine setting, it offers a unique environment with its pines from the Domaine de Coudrée that give it a surprising Mediterranean atmosphere. It is a spot favored by kitesurfers for its consistent wind and friendly atmosphere.
The spot works exclusively with the Bise, this dry and violent north to northeast wind characteristic of the region. The beach has a grassy area to inflate the kites near the restaurant “Le Vent des Sables,” while the beach itself serves as a take-off and landing zone. Caution: the spot can be very crowded, especially in high season.

Detaillierte Informationen
The spot works only with the Bise, a north to northeast wind that blows head-on relative to the beach (on-shore orientation). This wind can be very powerful, reaching 40 knots or more depending on weather conditions. The Bise is generally regular in late autumn and early spring, but rarely lasts more than 2 to 3 consecutive days. In summer, there are a few gusts of Bise but the wind is less intense.
The navigation area is well defined on the beach. Launching is done directly from the sandy beach, and the lake is not deep near the shore: you can stand up to about 200 meters from the edge. In strong Bise, waves of 2 to 3 meters can form, creating interesting conditions for strapless. The spot offers a mix of chop and small cute waves on strong Bise days.
There are trees on land and stakes as well as buoys in the water to respect. No specific regulations are known for this spot.
