At Paralia Korfos, the wind most often comes from the NW to WNW sector, which generally results in a side-shore to side-on wind depending on the exact orientation of the day. The spot functions without depending on tides, which greatly simplifies reading the conditions. Launching takes place from a sandy beach with a busy launch area, so one must keep maneuvers clean and manage space well with other riders.
The water surface is often flat to slightly choppy, with sometimes a small chop when the wind rises. It is an interesting spot for freeride, progression, or working on jumps when the Meltemi sets in. However, one must keep an eye on traffic in high season, as the launch area can quickly become crowded.
The spot is especially enjoyable when the wind is well established and consistent, as it allows for navigation without too many interruptions. Beginner riders may find exploitable conditions in the area monitored by schools, but the best use of the spot remains at an intermediate to advanced level, especially if the board needs to be well controlled in traffic and strong wind.
