Mexico offers three very different kite zones. La Ventana (Baja California) is the winter mecca from November to March: "El Norte" thermal wind of 20-30 knots near-daily, sand beach, kite-village atmosphere. El Cuyo and Isla Holbox in the Yucatán are the Caribbean spots: reliable NE trade winds from November to March (still possible until July), shallow flat water, turquoise sea, authentic Mexican vibe. Tulum further south offers a kite + yoga + cenotes + Mayan ruins mix. Mexico is especially popular with North American kiters (cheap direct flights from US/Canada) and is increasingly drawing Europeans for spot diversity, reasonable cost of living, and tacos-mezcal-mariachi culture.

Best multi-region month: March.
