Plage du Roaliguen
France · Bretagne
The beach of Roaliguen, located less than 5 km from the center of Sarzeau on the Rhuys peninsula in Brittany, is a very popular beach that benefits from a dedicated kitesurfing area. It is an accessible and well-equipped spot, with a nearby water sports center and basic services for riders.
The spot offers an authentic local atmosphere, just a stone's throw from Vannes and the Gulf of Morbihan. The beach is supervised in summer and has disabled access, making it a welcoming place for all levels. It is an ideal place to progress safely, especially thanks to the kitesurfing schools on site that adapt their courses according to wind conditions and tide schedules.

The beach of Roaliguen works well with west to northwest winds, generally offering side-shore to side-on conditions favorable for kitesurfing. Local schools are itinerant and change spots based on wind orientation, meaning Roaliguen is not ideal for all wind sectors, particularly northern winds.
The water surface is without waves, making it perfect for learning and technical progression. Launching takes place directly from the beach, but the take-off and landing area is relatively small with a concrete jetty at the back of the beach, requiring some skill. At low tide, the beach becomes rockier with many stones, while at high tide, conditions improve for navigation. Tide schedules play a crucial role in choosing this beach for sessions.
