The beach of Gefosse-Fontenay, located in the baie des Veys in Normandy, is a discreet spot favored by local riders for its easy access and potential for kitefoiling. It is easily accessible from Grandcamp-Maisy via the D514, continuing westward. It is a quiet place with a wide sandy beach that opens onto a sheltered bay.
The spot is well-suited for sessions with westerly winds, especially at high tide when the water rises on the beach. Conditions vary according to the tides, but the atmosphere remains relaxed away from the crowds of more well-known spots like those in the bay of Somme.

The spot works well with a side-on west wind relative to the northwest-oriented beach, providing good power for foiling or twintip. At high tide, the water is shallow and flat over a good area, perfect for launching directly from the beach and riding without going too far out. Launching takes place at the edge of the wide sandy beach, with a spacious launch area free of obstacles.
At low tide, the flat bottoms are exposed a lot, making navigation technical but possible for experienced riders who know the sandbanks. The riding area extends into the baie des Veys, wide and sheltered from strong east winds, but be cautious of depth variations. Sessions are optimal in summer with thermal winds, and the spot is less crowded outside weekends.
