Plage d’Audresselles
France · Hauts-de-France (Pas-de-Calais)
Between Cap Gris-Nez and Wimereux, the Audresselles beach is an atypical spot on the Opal Coast, with an authentic and mineral atmosphere. Lined with pebbles, rocks, and fishermen's houses, it sharply contrasts with the long sandy beaches of the north. Here, the navigation is raw and demanding, in a spectacular setting facing the Strait of Pas-de-Calais. The spot attracts experienced riders looking for committed wave sessions, in a wild and character-filled environment.

Navigation takes place in open sea, on a narrow beach that is very tide-dependent. At low tide, the shore widely exposes the rocks, making launching delicate or even impossible. The best windows are around mid-tide to high tide, when the depth becomes sufficient. The wind mainly comes from west to southwest, arriving side to side-onshore. The water surface is choppy to very choppy, with real waves when swells are present.
