Delta do Parnaíba
Brazil · Maranhão
Tutóia is a hidden gem of the Northeast, located at the entrance of the Parnaíba delta, between the states of Piauí and Maranhão. The spot stretches for kilometers of dunes, mangroves, and turquoise waterways. It is a wild, almost untouched place where the wind blows strong and steady. The lagoons formed by the tides offer areas of perfect flat, while the sea, just minutes away, allows for beautiful wave sessions. Tutóia is an ideal playground for freeride, foil, and downwinds, set in a natural landscape of stunning beauty.

The wind from the east to northeast blows side-on between 18 and 26 knots. At low tide, the lagoons become ultra-flat, ideal for freestyle and learning. At high tide, the water becomes choppy to wavy, perfect for freeride and transitions to the sea. The bottom is sandy, launching is easy, and the navigable area is immense. Tutóia is an extremely complete spot, combining lagoon, delta, and ocean.
