The northern zone (Beachbreak) and the southern zone (KSN) are reserved for members of the respective clubs, with a day-pass option for Beachbreak. The free zone of Langevelderslag, located between posts 75.500 and 75.250, is accessible to all without membership.
The prevailing wind comes from the northwest and southwest, providing side-shore to side-on conditions depending on the area. Conditions are heavily dependent on wind direction and tides. Under normal conditions, the wind blows around 9 to 10 m/s, with gusts reaching 14 to 15 m/s on windier days.
Launching is done gradually on the sand. The water is generally flat to slightly choppy depending on tide and swell conditions. The best sessions usually occur in the late afternoon and evening according to local forecasts.
Ideal conditions at Noordwijk occur with winds from northwest to southwest, providing optimal side-shore orientation. Ideal speeds range between 12 and 18 knots, allowing for good progression and control. The best time slots vary by day but are generally in the late afternoon and evening.
The water is generally flat to slightly choppy depending on swell and tide conditions. Under normal conditions, short low-amplitude waves are observed. On days with more swell, medium-sized waves can form, particularly depending on wind direction and tide.
The sandy bottom allows for good visibility and a gradual increase in depth, which facilitates navigation and safety.
The currents at Noordwijk are generally weak to moderate. However, care should be taken near the channels where currents can become more pronounced. Tides play an important role in local conditions, with variations between high and low tide affecting the depth and dynamics of the water.
Recommended kite sizes vary depending on wind conditions. For light winds of 8 to 12 knots, a kite of 13 to 14 m² is appropriate. For medium conditions of 12 to 18 knots, a kite of 11 to 12 m² offers a good balance. For stronger winds exceeding 18 knots, a kite of 9 to 10 m² is recommended.

The kitesurfing season mainly extends from April to December, with the best months being January, February, March, and April. Winter and early spring generally offer the most consistent and strongest wind conditions.

The water temperature varies significantly by season. In winter and early spring, it drops to around 8°C, requiring a 5/4 mm or 4/3 mm wetsuit. In summer, the temperature rises to about 20°C, allowing for the use of a thinner wetsuit or a shorty. A wetsuit is recommended year-round.
