The traditional village of Theologos is right next door, away from crowded tourist areas, providing a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Centers like Surf & Kite Theologos are directly on the hotel beach, with all the necessary equipment for riders of all levels.

The Theologos spot offers a mixed water surface with flat conditions in the morning and small to medium waves in the afternoon when the wind picks up. The wind orientation is generally side-onshore or side-shore from the NW or W, perfect for stability and safety for beginners.
Launching is done directly from the sandy beach in front of the Alex Beach Hotel, with a wide take-off area free of obstacles. The riding area is vast and sparsely populated, even in high season, thanks to the available space on the 2500 m² of the center.
The wind starts light around 9-10 am (2-3 Bft) for beginners, then rises to 15-25 knots by noon until sunset around 8:30 pm. Watch out for gusts in the afternoon; directions N, NNE, NE, NW, W, WNW work well, offshore from the north and side from the northwest.
Ideal conditions are with wind 15-25 knots side-onshore from directions N, NNE, NE, NW, W, WNW, for a smooth water surface and manageable waves. Perfect for all levels in summer.
The water surface is flat to choppy in the morning, becoming wavy with small to medium waves (1-2m max) in the afternoon under strong Meltemi. Open to the sea, it can get choppy with sustained wind.
Perfect for freestyle and moderate wave riding.
Currents are generally weak at this open spot, with no marked channels reported. Tides have minimal impact in the Mediterranean, with little variation in level.
Stay alert in case of strong winds where the current may slightly increase offshore.
Opt for kite sizes of 7 to 11 m² depending on wind strength: smaller kites (7-9 m²) in the afternoon, larger ones (10-11 m²) in the morning for beginners.
The dominant wind is the Meltemi, a fair weather wind coming mainly from the north or northwest, consistent from noon to late afternoon. It starts light in the morning (4-5 Bft side-onshore from SW/NW) and strengthens to 15-25 knots in summer.
Summer is the best time, with reliable daily sessions for several hours a day.
