The Zwenkauer See / Südstrand is a kitesurfing spot located in Saxony, near Leipzig, on the shores of an artificial lake surrounded by green areas. It is a popular place for local riders due to its proximity to the city and the possibility of sessions even in autumn.
The Südstrand offers direct access to the water with a grassy and sandy beach, ideal for setting up your gear without too much hassle. The atmosphere is calm, with few bathers outside of summer weekends.
The spot is part of a series of lakes in Saxony where kitesurfing is developing despite strict regulations.
