Saint-Brévin-les-Pins is an iconic kitesurfing spot in Loire-Atlantique. Long sandy beach, constant wind, and shallow water area: everything is gathered for freeride, foil, and learning. Accessible, spacious, and well-ventilated, it is one of the best choices in the Nantes region for progressing safely. The atmosphere is friendly and the sessions are numerous, both summer and winter.

The prevailing wind from west to southwest blows side-onshore between 15 and 25 knots. The water is choppy at high tide and more flat at low tide on the sandbanks. Sandy bottom, easy take-off, and wide beach. It is an ideal spot for freeride, foil, and big air. At very low tide, some areas become too shallow, but the spot remains navigable during wide time slots.

Water conditions are choppy at high tide, flat on sandbanks at low tide. Small regular waves, sandy bottom, and gentle slope. Very readable conditions, perfect for progressing and jumping.
Weak to moderate currents, accentuated at high tide. No major danger, but caution is advised in case of high coefficients. Very safe navigation with no obstacles.
Riders mainly use 8 to 12 m². Lighter riders use 7–9 m² in strong winds, heavier riders use 11–13 m² for milder thermals.
