Launching is easy from the beach, with direct access to the lagoon. The navigation area is well-defined and secure, with no major obstacles. The water remains calm even when the wind picks up, allowing for comfortable riding all day. Thermal winds usually start around noon and strengthen in the late afternoon, providing a predictable riding window.
Ideal conditions at La Playita are between 12 and 18 knots, when the wind is steady and well-established. These conditions allow for smooth and progressive riding for all levels. The afternoon winds, enhanced by local thermals, generally offer the best riding windows.
Days with side-shore to side-on winds are particularly appreciated, as they provide maximum safety and optimal progression. The most stable conditions are found between January and March, as well as in June and July.
