Saint-Pabu
The beach of Saint-Pabu, located on the north coast of Brittany in the Côtes-d'Armor department, offers a large sandy area exposed to the ocean. It is a spot favored by locals for its frequent wind and its accessibility from nearby parking lots.
The beach alternates between wide sandbanks at low tide and a narrower sandbar at high tide, with some rocks to the north to watch out for before kitesurfing.

Informações detalhadas
The wind often comes from the west to northwest, which generally gives a side-on / side-shore wind depending on the beach sectors, and can become side-onshore with a northeast component depending on the local wind shift. The main navigation area is located on the southern part of the beach, which is wider and houses the official kitesurfing zone; launching takes place on the sand, with access from nearby parking lots and short access paths. The spot is tidal: at low tide, the sea retreats significantly, leaving wide flat sandy areas, while at high tide the beach strip is reduced and the water becomes more agitated with small waves and chop. There are some isolated rocks on the northern edge to avoid, and the presence of seaweed or debris can make certain areas slippery at launch time. In summer, attendance increases, and it is necessary to respect the marked kite zone and bathers; off-season, the space is vast and allows for freer navigation. Local schools offer launches from the beach and advice on safe areas for takeoff and landing.
