The dominant wind is from northwest to west in the bay, which often results in side-shore to side-on wind depending on the exact location on the beach. Launching is easy from the main beach on the sand, with wide clear areas for taking off and landing kites. The bay of Saint-Brieuc is vast: with a west wind, there are generally more sheltered areas near the points while the open sea can be more exposed.

The water conditions vary greatly with the tide: at low tide, the sea can retreat, but Rosaires beach is known for the sea retreating less far than in other areas of the bay, leaving navigable sandy zones.

Navigation areas are shared with swimming during the season — the monitored area must be respected and avoided by kitesurfers during swimming hours. Local schools and clubs often position themselves near neighboring water sports centers; it is recommended to spot other practitioners (board, dinghy, land sailing) before launching your equipment.

Local specifics: the beach is bordered by parking lots and promenades, which facilitates access to equipment; however, the proximity of swimming and urban leisure areas requires increased vigilance during the high season.
