Hyères
The Ayguade beach in Hyères is located between the Saint-Pierre port and the Vieux Salins, on the Var coast. It is an accessible and well-structured kitesurf spot, lined with palm trees and featuring an easy launch despite the presence of small pebbles before the sand. The site benefits from a complete infrastructure with a kite area marked by buoys and a dedicated launch channel.
This spot is particularly appreciated in the summer season when the East wind blows regularly. The Ayguade serves as an excellent backup or alternative spot to Almanarre when conditions become too strong elsewhere. It is a dog-friendly place with available parking, making it a convenient spot for local riders and visitors.

Informações detalhadas
Ayguade hosts the Mérou kite area, one of the two main kitesurfing zones in Hyères. The sailing area is 250 meters wide and is marked by buoys. The launch channel is clearly defined and allows for safe access to the area beyond 300 meters from the shore.
The East wind (Marin) creates side-shore to side-on conditions ideal for kitesurfing. In East wind, the water surface generally remains flat and accessible, especially in the summer season. The gradual depth and sandy bottom allow for easy launching. The maximum allowed speed in the 300-meter zone is 5 knots (9 km/h).
Navigation rules are strict: experienced practitioners must only launch from the marked channel, while beginners can launch from the beach. It is mandatory to roll up lines as soon as the kite is on the sand and to respect the entire channel without cutting through it while sailing. Swimming is allowed but separated from the kite area by buoys.
