The Erba Rossa beach is oriented east-west, making it ideal for side-shore winds coming from the NNE, NE, SE, or SSE, the recommended directions for kitesurfing. The launch is directly from the fine sand, with no major obstacles, and the take-off area is wide due to the clear space from the adjacent campsite.
The water is generally chop with small waves, perfect for freeride training or moderate jumps. In case of side-on wind from the NE or SE, navigation remains comfortable over a large offshore area, but care should be taken to stay away from swimmers in high season.
No school on site, so bring your gear. Sessions work well in the morning or late afternoon when the thermal picks up, with enough space to launch without interfering with other camping activities like jet skiing.
