Plage de Pinarellu
France · Corse
The Pinarellu beach, located in Zonza in Southern Corsica, stretches along a long strip of fine sand bordered by pine forests, about fifteen minutes north of Porto-Vecchio. It runs along a protected bay where the water is turquoise and translucent, ideal for water activities.
This spot is popular among kiters for its constant flat and the fact that you can stand almost everywhere. Locals and sailing schools offer lessons and rentals year-round, in a family-friendly atmosphere despite the summer crowds.
The southern part of the beach, near Capu di Fora, offers more space and fewer bathers, perfect for taking off safely.

The spot works best with an east or northeast wind, which blows side-on relative to the south-facing beach. The thermal breeze often picks up in the early afternoon in summer, making sessions stable and regular. The launch is easy everywhere thanks to the fine sand and gentle slope, with standing water extending several dozen meters from the shore.
The navigation area is wide in the protected bay, with no notable waves, providing a flat water surface perfect for all levels. Prefer the southern end of the beach for takeoff, where there is more space and fewer beachgoers. Tides have little impact here, and the spot remains navigable in all circumstances without critical zones.
Local schools like the Pinarello Sailing School ensure structured access with nearby parking and equipment on site. Be cautious in high season with bathers in the center of the beach; stay vigilant to navigate safely.
