The beach of Tougues, located in Chens-sur-Léman on the shores of Lake Geneva, is a large wooded beach with grass and gravel and a pebble bottom. There are century-old trees providing shade, a children's playground, tables and benches, as well as a dedicated barbecue area. It is a family-friendly spot accessible to people with reduced mobility, with supervised swimming in the summer season and free access all year round.
Kitesurfing riders practice in the authorized shoreline area up to 3.7 km offshore, but the activity is regulated on the lake. Close to restaurants, it also attracts bathers, paddlers, and divers, in a relaxed atmosphere by the water.

On the beach of Tougues, the prevailing wind generally comes from the southwest to west, blowing side-shore or side-on relative to the east-west orientation of the beach, which offers good conditions for navigation. The launch area is directly from the grassy and gravel beach, with easy water entry thanks to the gradually sloping pebble bottom. The navigation area extends in the shoreline of 300 m up to 3.7 km offshore for windsurfing boards and towed sails like kites, but one must remain vigilant in marked areas.
The water surface is generally flat to choppy in established wind, with little impact from tides as Lake Geneva is a freshwater lake with regulated levels. The best sessions occur in the middle of the day when the thermal rises, with a perfect side-shore orientation for freeride and light waves if the wind picks up. Be cautious of swimming areas and priority vessels like small sails and fishermen.
